CGHS cards to be linked with ABHA ID; plastic cards to be phased out by March
सीजीएचएस कार्ड आभा आईडी से जुड़ेंगे, मार्च तक प्लास्टिक कार्ड बंद
Beneficiaries can use the digital card on the CGHS app at wellness centres and empanelled hospitals.
लाभार्थी वेलनेस सेंटर और अस्पतालों में डिजिटल कार्ड का उपयोग कर सकेंगे।
CGHS beneficiary cards are to be linked with the Ayushman Bharat Health Account identifier, allowing prescriptions, laboratory reports and discharge summaries to be accessed digitally across empanelled facilities.
The physical plastic card will be phased out by 31 March 2027. Until then both the plastic card and the digital card on the CGHS mobile application will be accepted.
Pensioner beneficiaries who have not seeded their mobile number with the CGHS database have been advised to do so at their Wellness Centre, as the digital card is delivered through a one-time password.

The Ministry has clarified that linking is voluntary for dependants above the age of eighteen who hold a separate ABHA identifier.
